Job Description

**Greatness starts here - About the Victims Assistance Program (VAP)**

VAP is a critical part of the state-wide response to all victims of crime. It is a voluntary, confidential, and free service which is funded by the Victorian Government Department of Justice and Community Safety.

The aim of the VAP is to assist victims by providing an accessible service where victims are listened to, informed, and empowered in their pathway to recovery. It provides practical assistance, advocacy, case management support and access to a range of services, including engagement with the criminal justice system and helping victims recover from the impact of the crime.

**About the opportunity**:
This Victims Assistance Program (VAP) Team Leader role is a leadership position that provides operational and clinical management, leadership, support and delivery of the intake, assessment, and case management. You will support and enable your direct reports to deliver a high-quality service for their consumers to reach their individual potential.

The Team Leader will lead by example to provide day to day coaching, clinical leadership, support, and direction to foster and develop a strong, engaged, and effective team. The position will collaborate across relevant functions of the organization to optimize clinical and business outcomes within a growth, developmental and future orientated environment. The position will require supporting delivery of exceptional evidence-based, cost effective, innovative, and efficient care to DPV Health consumers in line with the organizational, strategic and program business plans.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Victoria Police Check
- Current Victorian Driver's License
- Hold a Bachelor of Social Work, Eligible for membership of AASW **OR** at least 5 years relevant experience and be working towards meeting recommendation 209 - social work degree
