
Victim Advocate Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a landmark reform that will replace the judicially based Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal with an administrative scheme.
The Victim Support Specialist will provide support and advice to victims of crime, utilising their Administrative expertise.
Key responsibilities include drafting trauma-informed victim recognition statements and coordinating victim recognition meetings.
A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in fields related to community and social services, social policy, social work, law, or public administration is desirable.
Commitment to pursuing a culturally safe workplace and organisation is essential.
Experience in direct human service delivery is highly valued.
Responsibilities include:
- Drafting trauma-informed victim recognition statements
- Coordinating victim recognition meetings
- Providing support and advice to victims of crime
Working from a trauma-informed perspective, this role requires a deep understanding of the impact of trauma on individuals and communities.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
They will also possess a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services to victims of crime.
