About the Position

We are seeking a Victim Support Officer who can provide expert guidance, support and information about victim services and entitlements.

This role requires working flexibly over shifts between 7am to 11pm across 7 days per week including weekends and public holidays.

Main Responsibilities
  • Delivering up-to-date advice on victim entitlements, support services and referral pathways to victims of crime and family violence.
  • Communicating complex information clearly and accurately, responding to clients, stakeholders and team members in a professional, sensitive and respectful manner.
About You

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • A solid understanding of the victim support service system and associated legislation.
  • Experience in direct human service delivery where there are sensitive and complex needs, working from a trauma-informed perspective.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive equivalent experience is highly desirable.
