About the Role:
Challenge Community Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Frontline Support Specialist to join our Disability Services division working 4 days a week. This pivotal role is perfect for a passionate individual who excels in providing high-quality, person-centred support, particularly to clients with complex and multiple support requirements.
- ** Complex Care Management**: Provide tailored support for clients with complex needs, working with teams to develop care plans and manage health, behavioural, and crisis scenarios.
- ** Behavioural Support**: Implement and manage behaviour strategies, de-escalate concerns, and ensure safety during emergencies.
- ** Mentorship**: Lead and mentor staff, offering guidance and fostering a high-performing team culture.
- ** Client Engagement**: Build strong relationships with clients and support networks, ensuring services align with individual goals and promote inclusion.
- ** Advocacy & Documentation**: Advocate for client rights, maintain accurate records, and ensure NDIS compliance.
- ** Professional Development**: Pursue ongoing learning, mentor future leaders, and demonstrate leadership aligned with organisational values.

About You:
**Essential**:

- Proven experience in high-intensity, person-centred disability support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to model best practices in active support and mentor others.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in leading complex care reviews and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and relevant legislative requirements.

**Requirements**:

- Understanding of National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) processes.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Current NSW Working with Children's Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Police Check
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
