You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle and four Red Star boutique hotel.About UsSet on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England.
The Castle has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past.
Located 20 minutes' drive from Bristol, it offers 26 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces.
our food style is modern British using the best locally sourced produce from our kitchen garden and around the southwest.
We operate 7 days a week, serving breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, and Sunday lunch as well as the occasional wedding and functions.Our company goal is to deliver "refined and personalised hospitality" to enable our hotel to be a place where all guests can relax, enjoy themselves and have a break from normal life.
To feel like royalty in a unique place with unique peopleFull time permanent position 48 hours per weekSalary £31,000 per annumAn additional share of service charge and tips (paid every 2 months, about 3.5k annually)You will be responsible for the preparation and service in a particular section supporting the team and helping colleaguesEnsuring high level of food quality and preparationNatural ability as a chef with outstanding attention for detail.Assisting with the development of menusAbility to work unsupervised and using own initiativeStrictly follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.A truly talented Chef with a professional approach, great passion and flair for the industry and food.Experience at 3 AA Rosette or 1 Michelin star environment is ideal or at least 5 years' experience in 2 AA Rosette within a similar role or above.A calm mature approach with a resilient nature that thrives under pressure.Dedicated excellent team player with strong communication skills.Ambition to succeed28days holiday a yearPaid day off on your birthdayComplimentary stay at the castle after 3months' probation period passed.Training programs via internal & external professionals and access to online training facilitiesStaff and family rates on hotel accommodation and discounts on food and beveragesRecognition programmesAccess to online training facilitiesCareer development programmesUniform provided and free parking availablepossibility of staff accommodation to be discussed at interview time
