**About APRA**

APRA's mandate is to protect the Australian community by establishing and enforcing prudential standards and practices designed to ensure that, under all reasonable circumstances, financial promises made by the institutions we supervise are met within a stable, efficient, and competitive financial system.

APRA has three complementary functions: policy, industry supervision and resolution. APRA's resolution function aims to minimise the impact of bank, insurer and superannuation entity failure on beneficiaries and the financial system.

**The role**

We are seeking an experienced Advisor to join our Resolution function. This is an exciting and diverse role, reporting to the Senior Manager Insurance Resolution.

**You will**:

- gain a unique perspective on general, life and private health insurance industries
- collaborate with a wide range of people across APRA, industry, and government
- be part of a team supporting insurers in stress and/or facilitating orderly resolutions to protect both beneficiaries and the financial system
- develop 'peacetime' resolution plans with large and complex insurers, and
- contribute to the development and implementation of APRA's crisis management framework.

If desired, flexible work and part-time/job share arrangements may be possible.
