Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our team in providing expert support and guidance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical knowledge, mentoring, and supervision.
About the Role
This role is responsible for applying advanced clinical knowledge to support the multidisciplinary team in positive behaviour support and restrictive practices reduction/elimination.
- Lead clinical practice, mentoring and supervising Practice Consultants and other staff, under the guidance of the Senior Practitioner.
- Support the team in completing clinical documentation and data collection to a high standard and timely manner.
- Contribute to education and development on trauma-informed, evidence-based information, advice, and direction to the disability services sector.
- Coordinate application allocation for disability services providers using restrictive practices within the Office of the Senior Practitioner.
- Maintain and evaluate restrictive practices usage, providing timely advice and reporting to the Senior Practitioner.
- Provide information on the rights of persons with disabilities subject to restrictive practices.
- Conduct research on restrictive practices under the guidance of the Senior Practitioner.
- Collaborate with the National Disability Insurance Scheme Quality and Safeguards Commission to share information and ensure NDIS providers meet their obligations.
- Perform additional duties aligned with your qualifications, experience, and classification level.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate must have:
- Current registration/licences, checked at any time during employment. Notify the Employer of changes.
- Satisfactory completion of a relevant allied health professional course, registered with the National Board or a professional association.
- Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (NDIS Endorsed) or ability to acquire quickly.
