**ABOUT THE ROLE**

**Origin is leading the transition to net zero through clean energy and customer solutions. Gas forms an essential part of the energy mix during the transition and Origin, via the Integrated Gas Business Unit, is continuing to invest in gas exploration and production throughout Australia.**

**Subsurface Technical Assistant will assist the busy RAD Teams with data management, preparation and quality control. This position provides an uplift of Geological and Engineering data quality through numerous task-based processes. This is a 2-year fixed contract.**

- Compliance and Government reporting
- Creating data visualisation for data analysis and optimisation
- Identification of opportunities for data remediation
- Triaging of priority level for data requests
- Find creative ways to identify data completeness and accuracy

**ABOUT YOU**

**You'll have initiative, drive and be data focused, with exceptional attention to detail and impeccable organisation skills.**

**More about you**
- You'll be Geologist or Tech Assistant who knows a lot about Geology and industry software packages** OR** you'll have an Engineering / Analyst background
- You will have strong attention to detail, be data focused and have experience of working with large databases
- You'll be a confident and an engaging communicator
- Experience of SQL or Python scripting is desirable
- Experience within oil & gas or mining is highly advantageous but not essential
