About The Role The Team Leader will lead, direct and coordinate all functions within the assigned area of Production within our distribution centre to ensure and improve the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of Logistics.
The Team Leader will also ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building, stock and plan the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and ensure the teamwork withing the framework of the COS Values.Span of working hours range from 9:00am-6:00pm.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate store personnel and teams to ensure efficient picking, packing, and order fulfillment across distribution centre zones.Manage department operations and policies to maintain warehouse standards, quality control, and meet performance targets.Oversee maintenance and use of equipment and technology in the department, including automation systems, MHE, and warehouse management toolsMHERF GunsPDA EquipmentDesktop PC's and MonitorsUsing space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently and make sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are metRelevant packing and or strapping of goodsWaste Management – sorting and recyclingRecommend investments and coordinate operations to enhance efficiency, safety, environmental goals, and meet quality and budget targets.Assist DC Leader with labour planning, including recruitment and training, establishing work schedules, monitor and evaluate team performance, and coaching and guiding your teamLiaise with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure inbound flow is achievedEnsure compliance with warehousing, handling, and shipping regulations by staying updated on relevant legislation and advising management on necessary actions.Maintain a safe, secure, and hygienic work environment by enforcing health and safety standards and monitoring security protocols for proper storage of sensitive itemsAbout YouQualifications in Business Admin, Warehousing and Logistics preferred but not essential.Understanding on LEAN conceptsMinimum 3 years' experience in a similar roleKnowledge and demonstrated experience in organizational effectiveness and operations managementKnowledge and demonstrated experience of:Safety 1st CultureWorking in an Automated warehousing environmentPlanning of workflowPeople management principles and practicesInformation technology skills including but not limited to warehouse management systemsExpertise in warehouse management procedures and best practicesValid Forklift Licence - Counterbalance experience desirable but not essentialBenefits of working with COSFlexible hybrid workplaceAnnual employee incentive schemesGenerous Reward and Recognition programsCommitment to professional development with ongoing training and career development opportunitiesAccess to free Mental Health programsConvenient location with free onsite parkingEmployee discounts on full product rangeOpportunity to participate in community welfare and charity initiativesNovated Lease / Salary Sacrifice for electric vehicles availableMore about COS When you join COS, you'll be working for a growing, socially responsible organisation who provides equal employment opportunities to a talented and diverse team of passionate people, who live and breathe our 6 core values - Passionate, Results Driven, Innovative, Service Excellence, Self-Reflective, and Family.
