**The Opportunity**

Dateline is Australia's longest-running international current affairs program, featuring engaging stories about issues impacting people around the world.

We are seeking an experienced shooter/editor with solid long-form editing experience, as well as camera operation skills.

In this role you will creatively edit half-hour documentary style episodes working closely with producers and reporters, and to travel abroad on occasion as camera operator on location.

You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of an episode from pre-production planning, to on location shooting, ingest and media management, through to editing, delivery and archiving. There will be plenty of opportunity to be creative and to experiment with various visual storytelling styles.

**About You**

Ideally, you will have:

- Experience editing long-form current affairs, factual TV, or documentary, with broadcast credits.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and the wider Adobe Creative Cloud suite of apps.
- A high level of technical proficiency across Mac and PC computer systems.
- Experience operating a range of camera systems and audio equipment.
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
