Shooter Editor Position

Dateline is Australia's longest-running international current affairs program, featuring engaging stories about issues impacting people around the world.

This position involves creatively editing half-hour documentary style episodes and working closely with producers and reporters.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Editing long-form content for broadcast
  • Collaborating with production teams to achieve project goals
  • Operating camera systems and audio equipment on location
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Broadcast experience in long-form current affairs, factual TV, or documentary
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
  • Technical skills across Mac and PC computer systems
  • Experience operating various camera systems and audio equipment
  • Strong organisational abilities and a high level of adaptability under pressure
