**About the role**

Having 3 direct current reports, the Supervisor (Group Leader), Fabrication is responsible for delivering a 'hands-on' leadership style to the team by ensuring they deliver safe, efficient, and compliant fabrication and repair services to the Mining Division. The role is responsible to ensure fabrication projects and services are delivered; safely, on time, to budget and meet contracted specifications.

**Duties**:

- Provide effective leadership and direction to the Fabrication operational team
- Supervision and maintenance of weld procedures, welder qualification, weld inspection and technical document development
- Provide technical knowledge about applicable ISO standards
- Collate job quality assurance documentation
- Ensure non destructive testing requirements are met
- Continuous improvements of the fabrication process
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts within fabrication
- Manage the team's workflow efficiently
- Develop and maintain relationships effectively with customers and suppliers
- Manage resources and cost management of resources, equipment, and facilities
- Participate in workers compensation claims, management of claims and the rehabilitation process
- Report on other fabrication requirements as required
- Demonstrate and actively participate in all HSEQ activities as required

**Skills & experience**:

- Cert III Engineering Fabrication with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience
- Welding Supervision AS2214 or International Welding Specialist
- Cert IV or higher in Leadership & Management
- Demonstrated experience managing a small to large team in a Boilermaker/Welder workshop environment
- Customer relationship management experience
- Demonstrated experience with quality control
- Mining experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated experience with MS Office
