About the Role

The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for leading a team in delivering safe, efficient and compliant fabrication services to the Mining Division. This role requires strong leadership skills and direction to ensure the team meets their objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and direction to the Fabrication operational team
  • Maintenance of weld procedures, welder qualification and technical document development
  • Technical knowledge about applicable ISO standards
  • Job quality assurance documentation and compliance
  • Non destructive testing requirements and compliance
  • Continuous improvement of the fabrication process
  • Budget management and forecasting within Fabrication
  • Team workflow management and efficiency
  • Customer and supplier relationship management
  • Resource management and cost optimization
  • Participation in workers compensation claims and rehabilitation process

Requirements:

  • Cert III Engineering Fabrication with a minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • Welding Supervision AS2214 or International Welding Specialist
  • Cert IV or higher in Leadership & Management
  • Experience managing teams in a Boilermaker/Welder workshop environment
  • Customer relationship management experience
  • Quality control experience
  • Mining experience
  • Excellent communication skills with MS Office experience
