Having experienced tremendous growth over the past few years, it is time for the right person to join us at this exciting phase of our organisation's growth and further enhance our spare parts operations across QLD.We are seeking an experienced Spare Parts Interpreter, preferably with a background in the Bus, or Heavy Vehicle Industry but would not exclude anyone with a strong mechanical or related parts background.
The core purpose of the Spare Parts Interpreter role is to consistently delight and satisfy our customers through the timely interpretation and provision of their parts needs – both internally and externally.
We operate Pentana/ERA systems and sound knowledge of these is advantageous.This is a hands-on role, working closely with our North Queensland Workshop Manager in Cairns while reporting directly to the National Parts Manager.Key AccountabilitiesDevelop strong customer relationships both internally and externally.Provide parts advice and support to customers and workshops both internally and externallyInvestigate any customer issues and quickly resolve themLiaise with service, sales, and workshop staff, especially in the pro-active provision of partsRaise purchase orders and associated parts administration within VDI's systemsManage parts inventory, including monitoring and pro-active resolution of supply risksWarehouse duties pick, pack, despatch and receive where necessary, including forkliftRespond to and process incoming phone, email & face to face inquiriesMaintaining a high level of accuracy in parts interpretation and processing ordersAccurately perform parts stocktakesEnsuring orders are processed and dispatched to clients in a timely mannerArrange shipment of orders with local couriersAny reasonable requests by the ManagerSkills and experiencePrevious experience in a similar role, including Pentana systems preferredWorking knowledge of parts and accessories for heavy duty vehiclesAbility to work autonomously whilst actively supporting the broader teamHigh attention to detailParts stocktake and control experienceHigh level focus on consistently delivering great customer serviceKnowledge of freight processes for delivery of freight to customersSafe and compliant operation of forklift at all timesWe are DRIVEN by our Company Values: Dedication, Responsibility, Innovation, Value, Excellence and Nurture.This is an excellent opportunity to work with a nurturing, respected, established business offering ongoing training and the chance to be part of a friendly, inclusive team that really cares for its people.
