Job Title:

Spare Parts Interpreter

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Spare Parts Interpreter to join our operations team. As a key member, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by consistently interpreting and providing parts needs in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Provide expert advice and support on parts interpretation and procurement
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues promptly
  • Liaise with service, sales, and workshop staff to ensure seamless provision of parts
  • Raise purchase orders and manage parts administration within VDI's systems
  • Manage inventory, including monitoring supply risks and resolving them proactively
  • Pick, pack, dispatch, and receive warehouse duties as needed, including forklift operation
  • Respond to and process incoming inquiries from customers and teams
  • Maintain high accuracy in parts interpretation and order processing
  • Accurately perform parts stocktakes
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders to clients
  • Arrange shipment of orders with local couriers
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Manager
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with Pentana systems knowledge
  • Working knowledge of parts and accessories for heavy-duty vehicles
  • Ability to work independently while supporting the broader team
  • High attention to detail and focus on delivering great customer service
  • Parts stocktake and control experience
  • Familiarity with freight processes for delivery to customers
  • Safe and compliant operation of forklifts
