Product Manager Payto, Nppa

AP+ is intended to create a more efficient and agile payments group, building the competitiveness of Australian domestic payments infrastructure, and delivering significant benefits to Australian consumers and businesses.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibility for managing the PayTo product including product performance and reporting, product lifecycle management, and future enhancements, specifically:

- Develop appropriate reports and dashboards for monitoring PayTo performance
- Develop plans and actions to drive take-up and usage of PayTo by NPP participating organisations and payment initiators
- Manage the CX for PayTo including ongoing management and development of CX requirements and prototypes
- Work with the AP+ Marketing team to develop collateral for PayTo and plans to help promote awareness and usage of the service including articulation of PayTo use cases
- Work with the AP+ Communications team on the development of plans and communications to support PayTo
- Work closely with the AP+ Commercial team to support the activities of the Commercial team including providing training and associated material as it relates to PayTo
- Work with internal and external stakeholders on assessing how PayTo aligns to CDR payment initiation and the actions required to ensure alignment as CDR payment initiation design is determined
- In conjunction with the NPPA Technology & Operations team and AP+ Strategy team develop plans for future product enhancements for PayTo in collaboration and consultation with NPP participating organisations and payment initiators
- In conjunction with the NPPA Technology & Operations team develop any standards, tools, and frameworks as required to support the PayTo service (e.g. extensions of the NPP API framework, etc.)
- Work with NPP participating organisations and key stakeholders on use cases that PayTo will support in migrating DE volumes to the NPP
- Develop plans and associated market-facing material to educate key industry segments on the benefits of PayTo (with linkages to the AP+ Commercial team) and work with key external stakeholders to drive PayTo to take up and usage
- Work with other parts of the AP+ organisation to explore and execute on opportunities to integrate PayTo with other AP+ capabilities, for example, QR codes
- Engage with key external stakeholders (e.g. regulators, industry bodies, financial institutions, and service providers) as required and in conjunction with other key AP+ representatives on specific topics or issues relating to PayTo
- Manage inbound inquiries and interest from third-party organisations regarding PayTo

**Skills and work experience required**:

- Specific payments knowledge and experience, ideally encompassing retail payments and B2B payments
- Strong strategic thinker and thought leadership and excellent stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of payments-related data and reporting formats, ideally ISO 20022 message formats
- Excellent communication skills, particularly written (presentations, articles, marketing collateral etc.)
- Strong influencing skills
- Relationship skills and strong collaborative working style
- Ability to work in a small organisation and deal with ambiguity
