The Game Changers:

Australian Payments Plus (AP+) is here to shape the future of payments for Australia. We aim to deliver more innovation to Australia's payments ecosystem for the collective benefit of Australian businesses, government, and consumers.

Our solutions include Australia's domestic debit network, real-time data-rich payments infrastructure, secure bill payments, digital identity verification, QR payments and experiences, and open wallet solutions. It's a new chapter with more possibilities.

Life @ AP+:

We are one connected team in pursuit of one inspiring purpose - to unite people and technology to power better experiences. Each of us has a part to play in making that happen. You'll be encouraged to bring your big ideas forward and make a difference through your work. We support career growth while maintaining room for fun, friendships, and flexibility.

We're driven by our core values: lead with heart, learn for tomorrow, and live our legacy. A purpose like ours relies on an incredible team. Ready to change the game? We're here to help you do it.

Meet PayTo:

PayTo is revolutionizing how money moves in Australia. Built on the New Payments Platform, it's set to replace Direct Debit with faster, smarter payments—from rental payments to payroll. We have big plans and a bold roadmap, and we need an ambitious team member to help make it happen.

The Role:

We're seeking a Senior Product Manager to elevate PayTo. You will help build better experiences, drive adoption, and coordinate across AP+ to unify efforts. This is an opportunity to shape a significant part of the payments landscape.

Core Product Management Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to improve product operations and collaborate with Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams.
  • Work with banks, payment service providers, and merchants to enhance customer experience and establish best practices.
  • Explore integration opportunities with other AP+ solutions like ConnectID.
  • Monitor key metrics such as transaction volumes, pricing, and performance with the Data team.
  • Manage product-related risks in partnership with Compliance, Risk, and Fraud teams.

Go-to-market Strategies:

  • Develop strategies to increase PayTo adoption among NPP participants and payment initiators.
  • Create training resources and go-to-market materials to support the Commercial team.
  • Represent AP+ in discussions with regulators, industry bodies, financial institutions, and service providers.
  • Collaborate with external partners to transition Direct Entry use cases to PayTo sustainably.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong experience in product management or strategy within payments.
  • Deep knowledge of payment systems, especially in corporate and B2B contexts.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proactive, execution-focused approach to product development.
  • Motivated by creating impactful financial infrastructure.

Next Steps:

At AP+, we believe in passion, pride, and purpose. Our team is driven by a shared mission to innovate in payments. If you're ready to be a game changer, submit your application. The Talent Acquisition team will review and notify you within two weeks.

If you need support with your application, contact us at recruitment@auspayplus.com.au. We also encourage sharing pronouns during the recruitment process.

AP+ is not partnering with recruitment agencies for this role.
