Our Opportunity
Our Buying Assistant role will proactively support the Buyer in the product development cycle.
You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support the Buyer to improve financial results and achieve business objectives.
With your fashion sense, administrative skills, and attention to detail, you will contribute across various functions of the role while continuously learning and developing.
You will assist with product development, maintain supplier relationships, and communicate effectively with other departments.
What your day-to-day will look like
Understand fashion trends aligned with the Suzanne Grae customer
Communicate creative ideas and suggestions for product development
Provide input on garment construction, fabrics, and durability
Manage administration tasks related to critical path
Prepare reports and products for weekly sales meetings
Attend fit sessions and supplier appointments as required
Liaise with suppliers and build effective relationships
Communicate regularly with store teams and other departments
Our ideal candidate will have
Relevant education such as a Design, Buying, or Merchandise Diploma, or a Business/Commercial degree
Previous experience as a Buying Assistant in fashion retail (desirable)
A passion for product and growth in this field
Proficiency in MS Office suite
Experience managing administrative tasks
A proactive, collaborative, and adaptable attitude
