What you'll do

As a Scrum Master/Agile Coach you will play a pivotal role in developing agile maturity across the Identity directorate, alongside our transformation and scaling ambitions. This is an ambitious role that will be focused on driving and embedding agile and lean ways of working within engineering squads, whilst also collaborating and giving to the success of the wider team.- Work alongside mixed field squads on a sophisticated global identity platform, with multiple components and customer journeys; ensuring high value, frequent and smooth delivery becomes a recurring cycle.- Be a champion for agile/lean adoption and transformation. Mentor, coach and develop squads through continuous improvement cycles; use health checks and data to track delivery and make informed decisions and optimisations on progress, performance, and quality.- Engage partners and facilitate Scrum/Agile ceremonies to ensure key parties are aware of progress and are in-sync. Identify impediments early and support squads with unblocking and resolving constraints.- Support Product Owners with the ongoing creation and prioritisation of clear roadmaps, OKRs and backlogs. Ensure these are highly visible and understood within squads and encourage collaboration and close partnerships between Product and Delivery.- Define guardrails that set the right expectations for the transparency and quality of work items, so they can be planned, developed, and completed efficiently during product delivery.- Build a trusting, motivated and supportive environment, with an emphasis on problem-solving and a growth mindset. Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution, so that everyone has a chance to thrive.

What you'll bring- Previous experience in a Scrum Master or Agile Coach role.- Experience working within a fast-paced software development or engineering team; phenomenal understanding of the SDLC, technology-focused delivery, and the demands it can bring.- Experience working in an Agile-Lean environment, including working with one or more agile frameworks or approaches, such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, LeSS, DevOps, TDD, BDD, Paired Programming etc.- Strong leadership, communication, listening, negotiating and influencing skills. Able to steer decisions in a fast-paced commercial environment.- A self-starter with a real passion for software and technology. Maintains a positive demeanour whilst juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.
