What you'll do

This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Portfolio team working across the Global Video Engineering and Apps (GVEA) department. As part of our team, you'll be accountable for supporting several portfolio's that cover multiple teams and propositions and will play an essential part in supporting change across the US Peacock, EU NOW/WOW and Sky Showtime propositions. As part of Global OTT Technology, we ensure that engaging large, diverse audiences with premium entertainment is possible and our vision is to deliver the world's best entertainment.

Global OTT Technology

Our team develops and supports market-leading video streaming services, underpinned by state-of-the-art engineering principles. We do this at huge scale: for over 50 million customers globally, spanning NBCUniversal Peacock in the US and Sky, NOW and SkyShowtime across Europe. No matter the device, the time or the place, we make sure that our diverse audiences can easily find and enjoy whatever they want to watch, choosing from the world's best entertainment, news and sport.
- Support a rapidly expanding Global Video Engineering and Apps Portfolio, containing multiple Technology, Product and Business priorities.
- Providing support and assistance to team members with internal Sky processes and procedures
- Assisting on key Portfolio initiatives for any given departments by ensuring documentation is kept up to date and risks and actions are tracked in the appropriate places.
- Collaborating with teams across the department to collate updates on Tech Capex projects and facilitate meetings to present updates back to stakeholders
- Showing a willingness to go above and beyond participating in supporting the GVEA Portfolio teams daily workloads when needed to meet key deadlines.
- Management of key central purchasing activities - raising and managing purchase orders for hardware, software, resourcing and equipment required by our teams
- Supporting the Portfolio team with the documentation and progression of Statements of Work as and when required
- Working with the team to raise awareness of upcoming departmental events as well as co-ordinating and communicating details on team events.

What you'll bring
- Great collaboration and facilitation skills. You should have the ability to get the best out of people, be confident facilitating meetings, workshops and planning sessions that bring people together.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships by engaging GVEA HoDs and Delivery Managers to establish credibility, help solve problems, build consensus, and achieve department objectives.
- Knowledge and experience using Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint in addition to tracking and reporting tools e.g., Jira.
- The opportunity to further develop your baseline portfolio coordination skills is offered and encouraged.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking ability
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Professional, confident, enthusiastic team player
- Experience of working within an agile technology environment is a plus
