The role
Reporting to the Director Allied Health, OCAHO, this role involves spearheading the conception, execution, and evaluation of comprehensive state-wide strategies and projects. The focus spans allied health workforce capacity, clinical education, research, digital innovation, and leadership initiatives. A key aspect is representing Queensland Health in consultations with diverse stakeholders, including allied health professionals across the state, allied health professional associations, educational institutions, and registration authorities. Crafting high-quality reports, submissions, and plans, as well as offering authoritative advice to senior management, underscores the commitment to addressing complex workforce issues and fostering innovation in health services.
The successful person
Success in this role necessitates showcasing extensive expertise in their allied health disciplines, along with a proven track record in executing projects. Moreover, a demonstrated capacity to navigate and ensure success in intricate projects and initiatives is essential.
Additionally, you should exhibit the capability to offer authoritative guidance to senior management on planning, reform, innovation, and value-based care. Your ability to actively engage in a work environment that upholds high standards of human resource management practices, encompassing employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical conduct, is paramount.
