*The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist - Advanced (Statewide Workforce Development Officer) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
The position may be located in any Hospital and Health Service dependent upon the outcome of Statewide recruitment and the specific Health Service's capacity to host the position
You will
Provide direction and leadership in collaboration with the Statewide Clinical Education and Workforce Training Program manager and Psychology Leadership and Advisory Network
Analyse and interpret service delivery and workforce related policy to influence workforce development initiatives, improvement projects and partnering opportunities
Lead in the delivery of initiatives within agreed timeframes to achieve the best practice in psychology service provision
Utilise knowledge and experience to contribute to the ongoing continuum for psychology and the delivery of psychology workforce, clinical education and training initiatives, managing conflicting priorities and resolving issues
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Possession of a tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
AHPRA Registration
While not mandatory, possession of post-graduate qualifications and membership of the Australian Psychological Society would be well regarded
An area of practice endorsement recognised by the Psychologist Board of Australia (AHPRA) would be well regarded
Driver Licence
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Temporary part time (30.4 hours per fortnight, up to 6 months with possibility of extension)
Base salary ranging from $ $76.30 per hour
