**About the Role**

Support the Medical Program Manager to lead the implementation of the Medical Strategy to embed value-based healthcare across icare. This role is diverse and will work closely with the Medical Office team and key stakeholders in the design and implementation of strategic healthcare initiatives aligned to the Medical Strategy.

**Duties**

It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Medical Strategy Implementation Manager you will:

- Identify and monitor business and system trends regarding medical approvals and payments to prevent medical leakage
- Identify gaps/trends and support the implementation of effective control measures to enable value-based healthcare provision
- Support the increased utilisation of the Decision Support Tool
- Embed the Treatment Decision Making Framework for icare and Claims Service Providers (CSP)
- Implement Health Outcome Measures across icare
- Design, develop, and implement other initiatives aligned with the Medical Strategy including detailed plans to monitor initiative progress
- Facilitate the engagement and input of a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and customers as required to implement the Medical Strategy

**Skills & Experience**
- Extensive workers compensation experience ideally at an operational and leadership level as well as a broad understanding of healthcare in a compensation setting
- Experience leading, managing and implementing projects to achieve improved scheme outcomes
- Experience in leading high performing teams and providing strategic direction, coaching and guidance to team members
- Confident in liaising and influencing internal and external stakeholders
- Confidence in presenting face to face with relevant stakeholders
- Ability to create appropriate and engaging presentations and documentation
- Highly resilient and adaptable to a dynamic and changing environment
- Solution-focused approach with experience developing strategies and providing operational direction to the review and development of workplace management practices and procedures
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in healthcare would be desirable
