The Product Catalogue Manager, Qantas Wine is responsible for the ongoing management of the online product catalogue to optimise the performance of each product. This position is responsible for the creation and final approval of all product pages on the Qantas Wine website, including product information, imagery, categorisation and pricing accuracy.
This role will work closely with, and create management processes for, other teams like Buying, Marketing and Operations to improve performance and foster collaboration. This role will also be responsible for the end to end management of the Buyer's wine tasting calendar.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Responsible for the end-to-end online product creation process for all products.
- Responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, relevance and completeness of product pages over the product's lifecycle..
- Work with suppliers to ensure products on the website best represent each product to our customers.
- Responsible for product updates including pricing, images, scores and reviews.
- Conduct frequent and regular reviews of the product catalogue for accuracy of product attributes and details and to ensure the product portfolio is aligned with the product strategy and accounting systems.
- Conduct frequent and regular pricing reviews for all products to review for profitability, accuracy and market competitiveness.
- When instructed, update pricing in all relevant systems and ensure legal compliance regarding was/now pricing.
- Review eDMs and other marketing promotions for product and pricing accuracy and provide feedback to the marketing team
- Manage generation of promotional codes, working with partners to ensure delivery in full and on time
- Work closely with the Product team and Marketing team to provide product content and execute promotion campaigns that deliver targeted revenue / margin results and drive customer engagement.
- Undertake continuous improvement initiatives that realise commercial and/or customer benefits by extracting and summarising data, and presenting observations, conclusions and recommendations.
- Manage and optimise end to end wine tasting and review process.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Minimum 3 years wine industry experience
- Experience working in online retail, including website maintenance, uploading content and imagery
- An understanding of the wine industry, including brands, marketing and trends
- Superior writing ability, able to write wine product notes for publication
- Creates, manages and optimises business processes that result in efficiency and accuracy
- Attention to detail and a desire for accuracy
- Commitment to change and continuous improvement
