**The Opportunity**:
The Child Wellbeing (CWB) Project seeks to support and enhance the mental health, positive wellbeing and emotional regulation of children aged 5-12 years and to develop and sustain positive relationships and support improved engagement in learning. Evidence Based Programs delivered in primary schools across the Raymond terrace/Port Stephens catchment area aim to provide social and emotional support for children in school/s.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- The CWB facilitator is responsible for the provision of professional and accountable program delivery in line with the service specifications aligning with The Smith Family - CfC Child Well Being Project Plan priority focus areas
- The Facilitator will liaise with children, young people and their families (where possible), as well as, school teachers and personnel. In addition, the role will require the facilitator to build relationships with other project staff that are collaborative partners in the Communities for Children (C4C) project. The team also provides appropriate advocacy, information, referral and support that is reflective of early intervention as best practice.
- The Facilitator will achieve the objectives of both programs by assisting those who access the service, identify goals that are achievable for the child or young person and support their role in their families' wellbeing.

**About you?**
- Experience and qualifications in working with children and/or young people
- DRUMBEAT or RHYTHM 2 RECOVERY (R2R) Trained facilitator
- Seasons for Growth (SFG) trained facilitator
- Demonstrated understanding of child development.
- Experience in the delivery of programs to children and young people in early childhood or school settings.
- Knowledge and understanding of the way school environments operate
- Demonstrated leadership skills including conflict resolution, mentoring and supporting others learning.
- Demonstrated insight into team dynamics and the ability to sustain effective team cultures.
- Interest and knowledge in the provision of music based activities.
- Demonstrated skills in programming, planning and administrative requirements in line with funding.
- Understanding of and commitment to the principles and legislative requirements of child protection, WHS, cultural diversity and ethical practice
- Proven ability to effectively and proactively network and liaise with government and non-government service providers
