Product Manager Innovation

Requisition ID: 3880- Location: Southbank, VIC, AU, 3006**The Role**:
The Product Manager Innovation will support and manage the development of ideas and concepts for new energy products, services and assets in both the residential and SME markets. This includes activities such as:

- assessing the market potential and prepare materials for presentation to decision-making stakeholders
- managing activities to establish and implement incubation trials and iterative product enhancements to progress ideas to sustainable, commercial implementation; managing new energy products to drive consumer uptake and commercialisation through to their transition to the broader business
- contract development and management.

The role will report to the Head of Product Innovation and be a part of our Energy Solutions team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Product development and management of products and services for energy retailers including a range of distributed energy resources, virtual power plant technology, energy efficiency products and solutions, green energy solutions, electric vehicle energy solutions, community energy solutions and the utilisation of data to provide enhanced customer experience and improved control of energy costs
- Conduct analysis to assess commercial potential of a product / service and lead the development of trials of these products/market offers through refinement and iteration of concepts
- Assess trial outcomes and prepare business cases to gain support for larger scale trial and commercial launch of market offers
- Provide commercial agreement support with the development and maintenance of the commercial framework for the product, vendor, operational and channel arrangements and ensure agreements meets the business, legal and regulatory requirements
- Project management - prepare content for business cases, implementation of projects on time and within agreed budgets, identify and report on risks, prepare product development / trial update briefing material and coordinate resources both internally and externally.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will have solid experience in product and solution development, preferably with new energy products and have knowledge of the deregulated service markets, particularly energy, telecommunications or financial services. You understand digital technologies and digital marketing approaches and have a high level of commercial acumen.
