Deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way.Be part of a team that thrives on rising to the challenge of transforming lives for good.About The ProjectGold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast's expected population growth in the coming decades.John Holland is recruiting for a talented and driven Contracts Administrator with previous experience in a cost-reimbursable environment to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this iconic Gold Coast project.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesDraft scopes of works and tender packages to accompany requests for quotations issued to subcontractors for projectsConduct initial investigations with subcontractors to clarify the organisations conditions relating to contractsProvide assistance to the Procurement Lead and Package Lead in the negotiation of contract departuresMaintain a register of all subcontractorsEnsure cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintainedParticipate in identification and quantification of Head ContractsManage subcontractors to ensure the Code compliance is maintained at all timesRegularly assess commercial and contractual risksKey RequirementsTertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or Equivalent3-5 years' experience working as a Contracts Administrator, ideally with a Tier 1 Contractor in AustraliaIntermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software packages such as Microsoft Suite (including Excel) and exposure to a contract management system (CRM)Understanding of document control in accordance with records management proceduresAbility to interpret and apply relevant legislation/code on the projectExperience in negotiating with sub-contractorsAs part of the team, you help us deliver on our promise to transform lives.Your success is reflected in ours, so we're committed to being an employer of choice.
