Overview
Project Management & Analysis - PMO Analyst
Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia
This is a long-term contract role (12 months with extension options) located at the client's Canberra office.
Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks, methodologies, and internal controls
Conduct regular quality checks of project documentation and maintain audit readiness
Prepare high-quality board and governance packs for steering committees and leadership meetings
Produce clear, timely reports and dashboards on project status, risks, and KPIs for senior stakeholders
Support governance forums and enforce compliance across the portfolio
Qualifications
Proven experience in a PMO or project support role with a strong governance and compliance focus
Demonstrated ability to take professional meeting minutes and produce executive-level board packs
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile)
Proficiency in tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
Desirable
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field (desired)
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) (desired)
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) (desired)
Eligibility
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with the ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance.
