Position Summary
The Global Managed Services Operations team is seeking a
Project Manager
. The ideal candidate places a high value on relationship building and serves internal and external customers by understanding the business strategy, ensuring strategic alignment between the defined project portfolio and strategy, managing risks, and providing accurate project and portfolio status updates. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple related projects within the organization to achieve specific goals by managing projects, managing resources, tracking progress, leading cross-functional teams, and managing internal and external stakeholders for successful project delivery.
Work closely with PMO Leader, Project Sponsor(s), cross-functional teams, and assigned project resources to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
Strategic Planning – Ensure all identified projects within assigned region align with organizational goals and objectives.
Project Management – Function as Project Manager for assigned projects within the formal project portfolio. Develop a master project plan to track status of all active projects, use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
Stakeholder Management – Communicating effectively with key internal stakeholders and external customers, including regional and global leaders.
Performance Monitoring - Ensure all projectsare deliveredon-time, within scope and within budget. Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
Reporting - Report and escalate to management as needed regarding project and program-level status.
Risk management - Identifying and mitigating potential risks that could impact program success.
Education
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, preferably in the fields of computer science, IT, or engineering
Experience & Skills
Minimum of 8 years as a Project Manager or Program Manager.
5 or more years of experience in an upper-management role, preferably in program management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with a formal Project Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect patterns and analyze disparate data.
Proficient at building relationships and gaining influence with peers, leadership, and internal teams.
Working knowledge of a Portfolio Management (PPM) or Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) tool.
Experience integrating ServiceNow with other Service Management systems is a plus.
Strong personal 'soft' skills such as empathy, listening, and communicating in different methods to establish relationships with internal clients and global teams.
Skilled in developing plans to address identified risks/weaknesses and recommendations for process improvements and implementation on a global and regional level.
Skilled in developing and maintaining standard business processes and workflows for communication across global and dispersed teams.
Must have a strong technical aptitude or background that would allow for understanding diverse and complex projects and business operations.
Enable a culture of continuous improvement, including actively championing root cause analysis and trending.
Lead by example, be approachable and demonstrate a "can-do" attitude to develop a culture of team work to drive the achievement and exceeding of targets.
Ability to creatively solve problems with limited resources and input.
