We are seeking an experienced and driven Account Manager to join our client's team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strong customer relationships, growing account profitability, and driving new business opportunities.
The Account Manager will work closely with our branch customer sales team to develop key opportunities, manage existing accounts, and onboard new customers.
This position plays a pivotal role in achieving revenue targets, maintaining customer satisfaction, and strengthening vendor partnerships.
Key Responsibilities Manage and grow direct customer profitability within your assigned territory.
Build strong relationships with current and potential customers to drive retention and growth.
Support vendor relationship management to ensure effective collaboration.
Prepare and deliver quotes, including cost analysis, material specifications, and pricing.
Maintain and update customer pricing with a focus on maximising margins.
Provide accurate sales reporting, expense reimbursements, and account management updates.
Support sales tracking, follow-up processes, and job monitoring to ensure service excellence.
Contribute to inside sales activities as required.
Maintain effective internal relationships across departments to support business outcomes.
About You High school diploma/GED (or equivalent work experience).
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ERP systems.
Excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
Team player with proven relationship-building skills.
Experience in the distribution and/or building & construction industry is highly desirable.
Work Environment & Requirements Combination of office and warehouse/fabrication environment.
Physical requirements may include walking, standing, light lifting (up Light to moderate travel may be required.
Flexibility offered with hybrid and remote working options.
