The Tasmanian State Service (TSS)is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels, and within more than...The Role:The Residential Property Officer manages and oversees the provision of all aspects of residential accommodation for staff, contractors, and visitors in the South of Tasmania in line with relevant policies and procedures.
This includes the responsibility for the management of accommodation contracts, coordination of tenancies, furnishing, service connection, maintenance and cleaning.The Residential Property Officer is the single point of contact for all issues in relation to accommodation for the area, including liaison, negotiation, and issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders and tenants.You will need:Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in real estate or property management, together with demonstrated understanding and use of relevant legislation, including the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 and Residential Tenancies Regulations 1997.High-level interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to effectively establish and manage relationships and use judgement and assertiveness with stakeholders including managers, vendors, agency staff and contractors necessary for the appropriate use of consultation and authority in liaison with clinical and non-clinical staff.Demonstrated high level of organisational skills including financial management, initiative, prioritisation, capacity, creativity, adaptability and flexibility in developing appropriate solutions and the capacity to deal with pressure, ambiguity, change and ensure work deadlines are met with minimal supervision.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of appointment:Permanent, full time, day worker (with on-call) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
