Job Description:

The Tasmanian State Service is the largest employer in Tasmania, providing services to the community at all levels. The Residential Accommodation Manager oversees the provision of residential accommodation for staff, contractors, and visitors in the South of Tasmania, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accommodation contracts
  • Coordinate tenancies, furnishing, service connection, maintenance, and cleaning
  • Liaise, negotiate, and resolve issues with internal and external stakeholders and tenants
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in real estate or property management
  • Understanding and use of relevant legislation, including the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 and Residential Tenancies Regulations 1997
  • High-level interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication
  • Able to establish and manage relationships with stakeholders, including managers, vendors, agency staff, and contractors
  • Financial management skills, initiative, prioritization, capacity, creativity, adaptability, and flexibility
