**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The General Manager's unit is responsible for the following functions within Council: Governance, Civic Events, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Work Health and Safety, as well as the provision of Executive Support to the Mayor, Councillors and General Manager.
The Personal Assistant to the Executive Manager is responsible for providing a full range of timely, confidential, administrative and executive support and related services to the Executive Manager General Managers Unit. The role sits within the Executive Support Unit of Council, and is responsible for the delivery of a high standard of organisation and administrative support to the Executive Manager in a fast paced work environment.
The successful applicant will require:
- Relevant qualifications and or demonstrated experience in an administrative support position with particular emphasis on supporting a senior manager or executive level role
- Experience in providing executive support and assistance at a senior level including the provision of confidential administrative support at all times
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High-level computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work on multiple tasks, identify priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects efficiently and effectively
- Previous experience in meeting procedures and processes
- Ability to handle challenges and ultilise problem solving skills
- Ability and willingness to work flexibly in a team environment
- Strong organisational and judgement skills, with the capacity to successfully mange competing priorities

**Position information**: This is a permanent full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.
This role is predominantly located at Council's Merrylands office, and you may be required to work across any of Council's designated work locations, with occasional travel required across Council worksites.
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 10 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $76,148 to $87,571 per annum, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role.
