About the role: Walgett Shire Council is entering an exciting period of internal growth and transformation, and we are seeking a dedicated Workplace Health and Safety Specialistto join our team.

The successful applicant will have: Proven experience in implementing Safety Management Systems and fostering a proactive safety culture.
Excellent consultation and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and inspire teams.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principles.
A practical, solutions-focused approach to improving workplace safety.
Understanding of the challenges and opportunities in working in regional or remote areas.
