**Position Responsibilities
**Purpose of the Position **Provide industrial relations and WHS advice to members.

Coordinate and deliver industrial relations and WHS
training sessions for members.

Draft educational articles for distribution to members.

Represent members at Fair Work conciliation
conferences.

Provide administrative support.

Assist in the achievement of revenue targets in relation
to training and auditing.

Review and draft workplace policies.

Prepare and update Wage Guides.

In order of importance, list the key responsibilities/activities of the position. Each
responsibility should be weighted according to the amount of time/effort spent on it
during a normal year. The total weighting will be 100%.

**Responsibility (1) **Provide advice and related support to **Time**
members in relation to industrial relations, **Spent**
pay queries and WHS queries. **60%**

Prepare and update Wage Guides.

**Purpose of Activity **Provide consistent, balanced, and
professional advice, consultation, problem
solving options and recommendations that
meet relevant legislative requirements.

Provide members with a clear understanding
of the actions required and the related
consequences.

**Example **Assist members with unfair dismissal claims.

**Primary Responsibility (2) **Provide advice and related support to **20%**
members in relation to customer complaints
and Australian Consumer Law.

**Purpose of Activity **Educate, support, and assist members with
consumer law obligations.

**Example **Draft letters for members responding to a
customer demands for replacements and
refunds.

**Responsibility (3) **Create and deliver industrial relations training **10%**
and information sessions.

Attend metropolitan and regional member
zone meetings from time to time.

**Purpose of Activity **Ensure members understand their workplace
responsibilities.

Assist in bridging gaps in knowledge, policies,
and procedures.

**Example **Deliver training in performance management
and preventing bullying and harassment.

**Responsibility (4) **Prepare relevant items for member **5%**
communications.

Provide written advice to members on a
range of IR and HR matters.

**Purpose of Activity **Keep members appraised of any changes to
legislation and any current issues or best
practice initiatives that may impact or
improve their business.

**Example **Provide updates on legislative changes
regarding casual employees.

**Responsibility (5) **Provide administrative support to the **5%**
Workplace Relations Department.

Coordinate member training delivery.

**Purpose of Activity **Assist department staff with the delivery of
timely, effective, and professional services.

**Example **Take registrations and schedule member
training and information sessions.
