CSIRO is Australia's National Science Agency and is one of the world's largest and most successful publicly funded research and development organisations that delivers world-class science and outcome-focused research that generates economic, environmental, and social benefits for Australia in a global context. We have improved the lives of many around the world through our research and developments including WiFi, the Hendra Virus Vaccine, Polymer Banknotes, extended wear contact lenses, Aerogard and the Total Wellbeing Diet.

CSIRO's Missions Program is focused on solving the six great challenges we face as a nation - our health and wellbeing, our food security and quality, our national security, the resilience of our environment, the sustainability of our energy and resources, and the future of our industries. These Missions imagine a future where we use science to amplify Australia's global advantages and strengths.

The aim of the Minimising Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Mission is to halt the rising death rate and hospitalisation costs of antimicrobial resistance in Australia, by 2030. The Mission will achieve its objective by working with its government co-creators and research partners to transform and grow an ecosystem that will secure the future of antimicrobials as an integral part of our health system through AMR prevention, management, and response. The Mission will ensure antimicrobial resistance prevention, management, and response moves from a primarily policy-driven government initiative to a long-term, sustainable business model backed by public and private investment, driving growth and innovation across sectors.

This new role will be part of the Mission's leadership team, developing and delivering to the aim of the Mission. You will engage internally across the organisation with capability leaders, the Missions' Office that oversees the governance and reporting of the Mission, and externally with Mission partners, collaborators and end users of Mission research.

- Support project leaders with governance, engagement, and delivery of projects.
