**The Opportunity**
Melton City Council seeks a permanent full time Team Leader to manage the Litter Prevention team. We are looking for a friendly and energetic individual to join our team in developing and delivering a specialised and responsive litter prevention program. The team leader will be responsible for supervising and developing the Litter Prevention Officers within the team.
The role will report to the Coordinator Amenity Protection and will liaise with the Metropolitan Waste Resource Recovery Group, Sustainability Victoria and Environment Protection Authority to ensure a coordinated statewide approach of best practice litter prevention.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide day-to-day supervision, development and support to Litter Prevention staff, including the monitoring and reporting of performance.
- Provide input into developing and implementing a Litter Prevention program relating to illegal dumping and environmental protection issues.
- Monitor the budget and identify any discrepancies and in conjunction with the Coordinator, assist with budget development.
- Oversee and undertake investigations in line with the relevant legislation and preparing or authorising briefs of evidence as required.

**About you**
**_ To be successful in this role you will have the following:_**
- Certificate IV in Government (Statutory Compliance) or Business, or similar qualification with relevant experience and substantial experience in law enforcement or environmental protection.
- Experience in dealing with complaints or disputes in a professional and diligent manner.
- Supervisory experience and/or a demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate staff.
- Demonstrated experience in Court attendance and prosecution procedures.
- Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
