**Permanent part time position 0.6 to 0.8 FTE negotiable**:

- **Based at our Residential Withdrawal Unit in Ivanhoe**:

**Your new role**:
As an AOD Support Worker, you will actively support clients to achieve their individual treatment plans including drug withdrawal, in conjunction with the Registered Nurse at Curran Place, a 16 bed Adult and Mother Baby Withdrawal facility. You will be required to work a full rotating roster, including night shifts.

As a key member of the team, you will:

- Supervise and provide assistance with daily living activities
- Facilitate and encourage client participation in program activities
- Provide high quality engagement, assessment, treatment and support services to clients
- Demonstrate high level team behaviours, communication skills and outstanding conduct

In addition to a salary equivalent to SCHADS Level 3 + casual loading + super, you can access the following:

**Your skills and experience**:
You will bring with you:

- A tertiary qualification in a health/welfare related discipline such as social work, psychology or health science
- A Certificate IV in AOD or completion of the AOD Core Competencies (or willingness to complete within first 24 months of employment)
- Previous experience working with people with AOD and/or Mental Health issues
- Knowledge of screening, assessment and community-based treatment for clients with AOD and mental health issues
- Experience in developing individual treatment plans, post withdrawal and discharge planning
