**A bit about the role**

We are currently looking for casual AOD Support Workers to join our Drug Withdrawal House team located in St Kilda.

The AOD Support Worker ensures the site is a safe and supportive environment for clients to participate in the AOD withdrawal program. The role provides support and care for clients and performs administration duties. The position works across a 24-hour roster, including afternoon, nights and weekends.

**You may be the one we are looking for if you have**:

- Experience working in a clinical setting or similar environment delivering a consistent model of care within the sector of alcohol and other drugs, mental health or community service
- Ability to write clear and professional case notes/handover notes and other essential documentation
- Have an understanding on conducting assessments
- Ability to work, participate and contribute within a multidisciplinary team
- time management skills with an ability to pivot and reprioritise
- Excellent communication skills including active listening and the ability to communicate effectively and with compassion to diverse group of people with complex needs.
- Previous experiencing using Microsoft Office, client data base system (e.g. Mastercare)
- Diploma in a health-related discipline (e.g., social work, youth work, mental health, psychology or similar).
- Certificate IV in AOD or AOD Skill Set or the commitment to complete studies whilst in employment.

**The program**

The Withdrawal and Coordinated Care program offers a range of treatment options to support individuals whose lives are impacted by alcohol or other drugs. The Drug Withdrawal House (DWH) and the Windana Youth Community House (WYCH) are residential facilities which offer a 7-10 day stay to begin the recovery journey. Both contemporary medical treatment and complementary therapies are provided along with a healthy diet underpinned by a Food as Medicine philosophy
