Support Worker: AOD Counselling

Our team is seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to provide trauma-informed support to individuals struggling with alcohol and other drug (AOD) related issues. As an AOD Counsellor, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working together to inspire positive change in the lives of our clients.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals and families, using your skills and experience to make a real difference in their lives. You will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in AOD assessment and counselling, working closely with colleagues who share your passion for this field.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to clients struggling with AOD issues
  • Assess client needs and develop personalized plans to promote recovery and reduce harm
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure comprehensive support for clients

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in a health or welfare-related discipline
  • Certificate IV in AOD or completion of AOD Core Competencies
  • Experience in providing AOD assessment and counselling services
