**The Opportunity**:
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking a motivated and experienced ICT Contract Manager to join the Digital Capability & Operations Branch, Information Services Division (ISD).

ISD is responsible for the provision of IT services to the Australian Parliament and electorate offices nationally. The Digital Capability & Operations Branch is responsible for the development of systems that underpin the operation of both chambers of Parliament, parliamentary committees, and the administrative functions across Parliament House.
- Join the Digital Capability & Operations Branch, a dynamic and innovative branch that delivers digital solutions and services to support Parliament House and the parliamentary process.
- As an ICT Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining contracts across a varied range of vendors.
- You will work with a diverse group of stakeholders, including business users, technical teams, and vendors.
- You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of contract management processes and practices, as well as undertaking development opportunities.

**Who we are looking for**:

- Have demonstrated experience in contract management, including financial oversight, compliance, and renewals.
- Have proven ability to engage with stakeholders to ensure contract effectiveness and vendor performance.
- Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to recommend and implement improvements to contract management processes.
- Have a passion for contract management and a customer-focused mindset.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in contract management are desirable, and knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the PGPA Act are highly desirable.
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.

**Immediate supervisor**:Director, Capability Delivery & Application Operations

Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Executive Level 1 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Engage in day-to-day contract management activities that reflect departmental needs, align with departmental priorities and comply with applicable legislation, regulations, policies, guidelines and procedures (e.g. PGPA Act, Commonwealth Procurement Rules, FFSP Act and the DPS Procurement Policy).

2. Actively manage the financial aspects of contracts, including budgeting, invoicing, and payment schedules.

3. Engage in vendor relationship management to improve the way in which goods and services are delivered, including contract negotiation.

4. Undertake contract health checks, seek feedback from internal teams on vendor performance and contract effectiveness, and recommend improvements.

5. Conduct ad-hoc procurements as directed, focusing on contract variations and extensions,in collaboration with the Procurement Team.

6. Provide support to internal teams on contract-related matters.

7. Other duties as required.
