Job Summary

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and management of ICT contracts. They will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver complex procurement services, provide strategic leadership, and ensure effective governance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage multiple ICT contracts that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Deliver highly complex and sensitive procurement services in line with whole-of-government procurement strategy and governance frameworks.
  • Manage existing IT vendors' performance and compliance with their contract, service level agreements, and performance metrics.
  • Provide expert advice on government-coordinated ICT procurement arrangements.
  • Negotiate complex contracts with key business stakeholders on behalf of the ICT department.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential ICT vendors and stay informed of industry trends.
  • Manage contracts and agreements with ICT vendors, monitoring performance, delivery, and payment schedules.
  • Document all procurement and contract management activities for audit trail purposes.
  • Provide high-level support, advice, and reports on procurement and contract management, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting or a minimum of 5 years' experience in government contract management within an ICT environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing performance-based ICT service contracts within a large organization.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in analyzing and reviewing contract performance in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders and build effective relationships and networks.
  • Extensive written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare and present complex and technical documents.
