Procurement Specialist - Government Contracts

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage ICT-related procurements in accordance with government frameworks.

Job Description

This is a long-term contract role for 12 months with the option of a 12-month extension, located at our client's ACT office with hybrid working arrangements (two days from home). As the selected candidate, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end ICT procurement processes, including software renewals and ICT labour hire.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage ICT-related procurements in accordance with government frameworks.
  2. Conduct procurement activities using best practices and sound judgment.
  3. Identify, manage, and mitigate procurement risks to meet organisational obligations and optimise business outcomes.
  4. Provide high-level advice on procurement-related matters across the Information Services Division.
  5. Work flexibly and apply critical thinking within a team experiencing change.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Government procurement.
  • Sound knowledge and application of procurement frameworks, including PGPA Act and CPR.
  • Ability to manage end-to-end ICT procurement processes, including software renewals and ICT labour hire.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Effective record management and shared mailbox handling.
