Pt. Leo Estate is a family run ocean front property set on 330 acres of vineyard, cattle grazing land, and a world class sculpture park located in Bunurong Country on the Mornington Peninsula. About The Role
- Full Time, senior management role
- Property-based role focusing on DTC sales through the Estate, our restaurants, the Wine Club, and on-line sales
- Precise stock management is essential to the success of this role
- Opportunities to develop the label and sales funnels
- Manage, support and train an engaged and talented cellar door team
- Induct every new employee on Pt. Leo Estate wines

Job Requirements

About You

Highly organised and efficient, with an ability to effectively prioritise competing demands within a busy environment

The ability to problem solve and follow up on discrepancies in a timely and a solution-driven manner

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to delegate to and direct others to meet business objectives

Strong ability to focus on delivering to business expectations

The ability to work as part of a team, as well as being able to operate with a high degree of autonomy and self-reliance

Key Duties

Weekly and monthly stocktaking along with any relevant variance reporting

Coordinating all Pt. Leo Estate wine movements from our storage facilities, restaurant transfers, and in our retail and cellar door area

Monthly management reporting including ullage reports, run rate forecasting and budget reviews

Cellar Door rostering

Develop and train the cellar door sales team b y being a hands-on contributor to the DTC and forward-facing ethos of the entire estate

Work with the Wine Club Manager and Business Development Manager in creating engaging promotions and events

Act as the face of Pt. Leo Estate wines both onsite and by assisting the sales and marketing team whenever possible in promoting the brand

Nurture relationships with the local community, industry, suppliers and other key stakeholders to build both the wine brand reputation

Technical Skills and Expertise

**Qualifications**:
WSET Level III (minimum)or IV (desirable)

A degree in oenology, or a degree in viticulture is desirable

Experience

A minimum of 10 years industry experience is essential

A minimum of 5 years in a cellar door or wine retail management position

Overseas experience in cool climate regions is highly desirable
