About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic Workshop Controller to join our Lonsdale team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance throughout our workshop.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the workshop
Monitor the progression of jobs throughout the day to ensure timely completion
Schedule workshop jobs based on customer requirements and workshop capacity
Conduct quality control and perform final inspections of vehicles prior to collection
Explain technical issues to non-technical customers and stakeholders
Provide guidance to both apprentices and technicians
About You
This role is a great opportunity for a qualified and experienced technician looking to move off the tools, learn new skills, and support the workshop team.
Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
A sound understanding of workflow in a busy workshop
Strong understanding of Heavy Diesel Mechanics
Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and outcomes
