HSBC Commercial Banking provides universal financial services support to corporate and institutional clients around the world. Our NSW Corporate Banking Team (known internally as Middle Market Enterprises 'MME'), serves some of the highest growth and internationally minded companies in the Australian marketplace. Corporate Banking supports companies with turnover of $50m through to $500m, with a current client base that includes ASX Top 300 companies, private and financial sponsor owned companies. The team has delivered outstanding results and is focused on providing consistently high levels of support to existing and new to HSBC clients, to continue this strong trajectory.
As a Global Relationship Manager, you will manage a portfolio of MME customers and be responsible for sales, service, risk and operational delivery with a key focus being successfully onboarding attractive new-to-bank (NTB) clients. In this newly created role, you will manage a portfolio of high growth tech sector clients, a key global initiative for HSBC.
You will be working with an innovative, fast paced sector with an entrepreneurial spirit, in a truly global environment where you can expand your international network and broaden your future career opportunities.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Growing sustainable revenues from the existing customer portfolio and through targeted acquisition of new MME customers.
- Ensuring proactive and appropriate relationship building/customer contact plans and pipeline management for both existing and new customers.
- Generating assets through the use of appropriate risk management tools, priced appropriately for risk and returns and within customers risk appetite.
- Structuring credit facilities to ensure optimum balance between customer and HSBC interests while remaining within the bounds of prudent banking.
- Ensuring timely and accurate maintenance of deal and customer information on relevant Group systems.
- Developing effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in managing global and local banking requirements for corporate banking clients.
- The ability to build strong and lasting relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders on a global basis.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and autonomously within a broader team environment.
- A genuine customer service focus with the desire and demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations through superior customer service and solution execution.In-depth analytical skills with a strong commercial orientation and a disciplined approach to maintaining credit quality.
- An interest in the technology space is a must and experience in banking or working with clients in the space would be preferred but not required.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
