**About the Role**
Reporting to the National People & Capability Manager., you will be based at our Immigration site on MITA (Melbourne Immigration Transit Accommodation) where you will partner and strategize with Contract Directors and senior managers to provide expert advice and assistance on the full HR life cycle. Working across a multi-disciplinary environment you will identify areas for development and recommend appropriate people management solutions in relation to organisational development, culture and change.
You will guide and manage the overall provision of human resources services, policies and programmes to ensure best practice and the ongoing development of a high performing and engaged workforce that is aligned with the overall business strategy.
Your ability to coach and motivate our people leaders to develop robust, innovative and creative approaches will see optimization in workplace engagement. You will bridge management and employee relations by addressing complaints, grievances or other issues promptly in accordance with Serco policies and procedures, and oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

- Degree qualifications in Human Resources Management or related field
- Minimum 5 yeas of HR management experience
- Ability to understand employee grievances,supporting and working towards disciplinary outcomes
- Ability to conduct thorough workplace investigations
- Performance Management-deliver performance management programs that drive high performance Culture
- Proven experience in an industrial relations environment with the ability to manage complex dispute resolution processes with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in providing generalist human resources support to internal stakeholders and implementing strategic organisational change
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex employee matters in a blue-collar unionised environment including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and terminations
- Ability to prepare and write termination briefs for the decision maker review
- Operational experience in a detention/security environment (desirable)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a current Australian Federal Police Clearance
