**Job Description**:
This role acts as an individual contributor, using professional and practical claims Life Insurance and Learning & Development expertise to provide customer solutions and interventions for the TAL Claims business unit.

**What will you be responsible for?**
- The design (technical writing) and delivery of learning and development solutions in line with the TAL Claims Learning strategy and Capability Framework.
- The internal development, or external sourcing, of claims-specific learning collateral, utilising case studies, new or changed legislation, systems and process as well as other relevant material.
- Supporting the delivery of technical training expertise, as required.
- Evaluating effectiveness of implemented learning solutions in alignment to Quality Assurance, Accreditation and other respective frameworks.
- Co-ordinating activities aligned to the implementation of learning solutions to support business, regulatory and reporting obligations.
- Maintaining current knowledge of Life Insurance guidelines, processes and policy changes. Ensuring that current technical training materials reflect industry practice, TAL processes and policies, providing clear communication in a simple and accurate manner to team members.
- Liaise with Claims Risk and Governance, Claims Technical Specialists and other key stakeholders to ensure technical learning programs are up to date and consistent with the current policies, procedures and processes across the TAL Claims team. Recommend improvements where appropriate and in line with best practice.
- Manage and deliver mid-scale projects improving service delivery to Claims and our customers. Act as a key resource and contributor in large scale projects.
- Prepare management information reports with relevant data and evidence to help business decision making.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated understanding of Life, Trauma, Lump Sum (TPD), Disability and Income Protection claims assessment and management requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical information into learning or training solutions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant regulatory and legal obligations impacting Life Insurance claim assessment.
- Desirable Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Tertiary qualifications in Education.
