**Procurement Officer**

Digga is Australia's leading manufacturer of Machinery attachments for the Earthmoving & Construction industry. A multi-award winning, global company, with 5 state of the art facilities worldwide, our product & passion for providing total customer solutions is second to none.

We require a proactive and analytical Procurement Officer to support the Procurement team to implement and maintain best practice across all procurement functions. You will be integral in selecting and evaluating all current and potential suppliers, possessing the ability to multi-task, work well collaboratively, and possess exceptional attention to detail. This is an interesting and challenging opportunity within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate suitability of recommended suppliers
- Undertake negotiations with suppliers to meet quality, quantity, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Maintain accurate supplier pricing in database.
- Optimizing raw material inventory levels
- Sourcing alternative suppliers
- Purchasing of Inventory requirements to meet Production orders and Sales requirements.

***To be successful in this role**:

- 5 years' experience in similar role
- Current purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to liaise with a variety of departments including Sales, Production, Warehouse and Engineering.
- An absolute can do attitude with the ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong excel and analytical skills.
- Highly proficient in using software packages including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with ERP systems including M3, SAP, MFG Pro or AX would be desirable.
