A few of your responsibilities:Assist Restaurant Executive chef to manage the effectiveness of guest service, team members performance and development and service enhancementsOversee Sokyo sushi bar by supervising and leading by exampleTrain and coach Jr Sous, Commis and Demi Chefs, and guide employees to perform kitchen operationsEnsure outlets comply with HACCP standards by conducting daily monitoring and walkthroughs of the back of houseReview stocktake daily and ensure appropriate orders have been made and stock receivedRostering, ordering, training and etcWhat we are looking for:Jr Sous Chef/ Sous Chef experience ideally working with Japanese cuisineRelevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Commercial CookeryStrong understanding of produce, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to commit to 40 hours per week working varied shifts, including weekends and holidaysAbout you:As a dedicated and passionate sous chef, you bring a strong foundation of culinary expertise, leadership, and creativity to every kitchen you work in.
